So I walk in this little store needing some work done on my Corcoran jump boots. This asian guy comes out from the back wearing a cap that had an American flag on it and a smile on his face. His name was Jimmy. I liked him immediately. I put the boots on the counter and explained to him that I had used Riverside Shoe Repair (which is down the road) and have had nothing but problems with my boots. The ripple soles Riverside installed kept coming off after wearing them three or four times and I was tired of taking them back there. Jimmy was very nice and took the time to point out the flaws in Riverside's craftsmanship (or lack thereof), the inferior glue they used and the horrible and steep inclines my feet were being subjected to because of shoddy workmanship of Riverside Repair. The boots looked like high heels and when examined from the back, the heels were at different angles. Jimmy had to completely re-do the soles on my boots, installed new Vibram (Riverside installed generic) ripple soles and only charged about 50 bucks. He even put some extra stitching in the boots which looks awesome. Riverside charged me 75 and screwed up my boots. Plus, Riverside demanded cash up front. Well it was a lesson learned. I will be going to Jimmy at Eagle Shoe Repair from now on.
I have visited 3 times and the Asain women working up front has been consistently rude. She seems to take pleasure in being as sarcastic and demeaning as possible. I would not recommend them and will not be going back.
This place is great! I needed by boots cleaned and it got done in 4 days. I will come again and I recommend this to you and others!
